BARK SKIRT

This Cocopah bark skirt aboriginal clothing dress was made by hand in the traditional Cocopah style by Inocencia Gonzalez, Cucapa, El Mayor, Baja California, Mexico.

Inocencia is the sister of Onesimo Gonzalez, both Natives are well known and respected Cucapa tribal elders.

The natural aboriginal skirt is indigenous to southwest United States, Yuman Indians.
