KUMEYAAY FESTIVAL Cultural Entertainment

The Kumeyaay festival in rural San Jose de la Zorra drew hundreds of visitors and Kumeyaay singers, dancers and visitors from the rural Indian ejidos of Baja, CA, provided traditional dancing to live cultural singing entertainment, and included traditional ceremony.

The Kumeyaay Indians of North America have held these traditional festivals, or fiestas, for thousands of years in the greater Southern California, San Diego County area, and south of the US-Mexican border in the aboriginal territories of the Kumiai indios.
