NATIVE LANDSCAPE

This was the first picture of this Native landscape series and the point where I noticed the Native family
on their Santa Catarina rancho landscape in Baja California, Mexico. The subjects' positioning and
activity are completely natural in this picture (photographer took the photo without any posing).

The photograph shows makeshift ranch structures and handmade Indian corrals for livestock.
The Indian boys were practicing throwing lassos lariates.

This area is less than 100 yards from the infamous Santa Catarina Mission site that the local Indians
destroyed in 1840.
