ANNA BELEN CARRILLO, Kumeyaay Indian Basketweaver
Anna Belen Carrillo weaves smaller coiled juncus baskets and willow acorn storage baskets. She is the daughter of the late basketweaver Angelina Melendrez. Her father is Anastacio Carrilllo. She frequently weaves with her grandmother, Celia Silva.
Anna lives with her aunt, Virginia Melendrez, in the Kumeyaay community of San Jose de la Zorra, Baja California, Mexico.
