ALEJANDRINA SILVA, Kumeyaay Indian Basketweaver
Alejandrina Silva, weaves coiled juncus baskets. She generally does smaller gift baskets and trays. Alejandrina will do larger pieces upon commission. Her mother was the late singer, Paulina Vega. Both of her daughter are accomplished weavers, Mariana Torres and Paulina Buñuelos.
Alejandrina Silva lives in the Kumeyaay community of San Jose de la Zorra, Baja California.
