Miss Kumeyaay Nation 2005, Jasmine Aloese, Kumeyaay of the Jamul Indian Village, a Kumeyaay Nation, attended the Sycuan gathering and bird danced in the Kumeyaay fiesta on the Sycuan Indian Reservation, September 10, 2005.

Jasmine Aloese is the granddaughter of Kenneth Meza, Kumeyaay, a former elected tribal chairman of the Jamul Indian Village.
