KUMEYAAY BASKETRY

This large oval coiled basket tray was handwoven by Eva Salazar, Kumeyaay. Eva originally made the bottom when she was 15 years old. More than 10 years later, 2002, Eva Salazar finished the Kumeyaay basket by adding sides and Yuman female dancing figures out of black juncus.
