2025:

I'm back in July 2025 doing major upgrades and maintenance on my sites -- switched over to httpS SSL -- a lot of coding anomalies -- and graphic designs upgrades -- and broken links to fix -- you should have smooth sailing by mid August.

A lot changed technically since 2004 when I uploaded my sites and I got a little more consistant with my presentation.

These websites were designed and built by Gary G. Ballard on Mac® computers, System 8-10.6, using Adobe GoLive®, Photoshop®, ImageReady®, InDesign®, and Illustrator®, Microsoft Word®, Apple's Final Cut Studio®, Final Cut Pro® and QuickTime®.

These are gigantic creative MULTI MEDIA websites — our high-resolution photos and video movies may have trouble loading on slow Internet connections — the fix is to give the pictures time to load or get broadband (cable, satellite or DSL).

Our movies will REQUIRE the FREE Apple® QuickTime® player DOWNLOAD.

CONTENT ENCODING ERRORS

FIREFOX - MOZILLA has compatibility-BUG problems with custom actions used in this portfolio. If you get "CONTENT ENCODING ERROR The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because it uses an invalid or unsupported form of compression" please report the error to FireFox, then use any other Web browser, SAFARI (Mac & Windows), GOOGLE CHROME (Windows & Mac OS-X), CAMINO (Mac), OPERA (Mac OSX, Windows, Solaris, O/S2, Linux, FreeBSD i386, BeOS), and of course Microsoft EXPLORER (PC). This FIREFOX BUG is discussed HERE on adobe.com.

Light, washed out color, or
GREATLY OVER SATURATED REDS

If you are a Mac computer (and my pictures look washed out), you monitor is running at 1.8 gamma — the fix is to set your monitor gamma to 2.2.

If my pictures look super saturated, especially in the REDS), you are using a wide-gamut monitor — here is the problem explained and how to fix.

I publish only sRGB on the Web and embed ICC profiles in very few images — if you are opening my Web photos in Photoshop® the correct move will be to ASSIGN sRGB profile.

Also:

• If you want your picture removed, or
• If you want to add text or links to your pictures, or
• If you want to correct errors, misrepresentations, omissions in the webmaster's writing.
